87+/100 Punkte Robert Parker, Jan 31, 2017 Coming from a south-facing, 60-are vineyard on deep marl soils situated at 420 meters above sea level, the 2015 Pinot Blanc opens with ripe tropical fruit aromas intermixed with new oak and stirred yeast flavors. Fermented in stainless steel and oak vats, but aged in new and used barriques until the bottling in May, this is a full-bodied, round and very aromatic Pinot Blanc; it has a smooth acidity and an elegant texture. The 2015 is still made-up and lacks the purity and finessed freshness of a great wine, but the round and smooth-textured mouthfeel will be really pleasant for many consumers. The finish reveals a good grip and salinity, so the wine may improve with bottle age.
88/100 Punkte Robert Parker Dec 30, 2016 The 2014 Dorando is a 100% Malcantone Chardonnay fermented in concrete eggs and wooden vats. The citrus-colored wine opens with a clear, fresh and pretty intense bouquet of ripe white fruit, melon, lime and kumquat flavors. Medium-bodied, round and fresh on the palate this is an elegant, well-structured and nicely salty food wine, with an excellent phenolic grip and tension. Ginger flavors in the good aftertaste. The 2014 is still young, but perfect with all kinds of fish and white meats.
92/100 Punkte Robert Parker Feb 2018 Gérald Besse's 2016 Petite Arvine has a bright citrus color and opens with a bright yet still reductive bouquet of white fruits with burnt rubber aromas. On the palate, this is a very aromatic, fresh and elegant Petite Arivine in a modern, fruit-driven style. The finish, however, is salty and has stunning purity and length, revealing the true soul of the wine. Still very young, with pineapple flavors on the aftertaste, the 2016 will age very, very well over the next few decades. Tasted in a Petite Arvine blind tasting in Saint-Léonard in Valais, November 2017.
91/100 Punkte Falstaff, Dezember 2017 Sehr kräftiges Rot; in der Nase Rhabarber, Cassis, Brombeere, Schwarzkirsche, Molkenote, Anflug von Röstaromen; im Gaumen samtig-weicher Auftakt, mittelgewichtig, saftig, Schwefelzündhölzli, noch leicht trocknendes Tannin; gute Länge. Schmeichelnder Merlot, mehrheitsfähig, kann noch zulegen.
91+/100 Punkte Robert Parker September 2017 From 28-year-old vines on porous soils in Vernate, which deliver small berries with high fruit concentration, the 2015 Crescendo is a dark, intense, purple-red Merlot with a super ripe, intense, aromatic cassis and licorice/violet bouquet with refreshing leafy, floral and spicy aromas but also burnt gummy notes at this stadium. On the palate, this is a very lush but also clear, fresh and finessed red with blueberry and black berry flavors, fine tannins and remarkable balance. This is perfectly ripe, elegant and still somewhat sweet Merlot that will be a great pleasure to drink in two or so years. Tasted in Zurich, August 2017.
88+/100 Punkte Robert Parker, Jan 31, 2017 From two tiny granite plots in Fully (530/560 meters above sea level) the 2014 Syrah de Fully Quintessence displays a lovely pure, fresh and elegant nose of ripe dark fruits, crushed stones, finely milled pepper and more spicy and floral flavors. Full-bodied and round, with lots of mocha and cardboard flavors in the beginning, this is an elegant, ripe and aromatic Syrah with an intense and juicy fruit, as well as a bit drying tannins in the finish. The wine is fermented in stainless steel for 25 days and aged in partly new barriques for 16 months. Slightly filtered in April 2015.
88/100 Punkte Robert Parker September 2017 The 2015 Osterfingen Oberhallau Blauburgunder Zwaa offers a clear, fresh, fruit-intense and spicy bouquet of ripe, thick-skinned cherries along with some toasty notes. The full-bodied wine is silky textured, elegant and reveals rich, intense fruit along with a lot of power. The tannins are fine and ripe, the finish very aromatic and concentrated. An impressive but powerful Pinot Noir from Schaffhausen that is sourced from two different plots, one on heavy clay soils, the other on gravels.
90/100 Punkte Robert Parker, Sept 2017 The 2015 Rosso del Ticino Sottobosco is a dark purple colored assemblage of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Leathery and with a bit of volatile acidity on the deep and intense nose that displays dark, spicy fruit aromas, this is an elegant, pretty silky textured and refreshing red blend with fine, fresh tannins and an aromatic finish. The general style is a bit robust but this has good character and can age for 10 to 15 years. Tasted in Zurich, August 2017.
