87+/100 Punkte Robert Parker, Jan 31, 2017 Coming from a south-facing, 60-are vineyard on deep marl soils situated at 420 meters above sea level, the 2015 Pinot Blanc opens with ripe tropical fruit aromas intermixed with new oak and stirred yeast flavors. Fermented in stainless steel and oak vats, but aged in new and used barriques until the bottling in May, this is a full-bodied, round and very aromatic Pinot Blanc; it has a smooth acidity and an elegant texture. The 2015 is still made-up and lacks the purity and finessed freshness of a great wine, but the round and smooth-textured mouthfeel will be really pleasant for many consumers. The finish reveals a good grip and salinity, so the wine may improve with bottle age.

The citrus-colored wine opens with a clear, fresh and pretty intense bouquet of ripe white fruit, melon, lime and kumquat flavors. Medium-bodied, round and fresh on the palate this is an elegant, well-structured and nicely salty food wine, with an excellent phenolic grip and tension. Ginger flavors in the good aftertaste. The 2014 is still young, but perfect with all kinds of fish and white meats.

90+/100 Punkte Robert Parker Dec 2017 The 2015 Rheingau Riesling Trocken Hargardun (from 25+-year-old vines mainly in Hallgarten and Oestrich) opens with an intense yet fine and elegant bouquet of perfectly ripe Riesling flavors intertwined with discreet spicy terroir flavors. Macerated for up to 30 hours and fermented and aged in 1'200-liter Stücks, this is a full-bodied and dense but elegant and well-balanced dry Riesling. It has ripe, salty acidity that carries this slightly creamy-textured yet refreshing and finessed wine with its fine yet young phenols into a long and well-structured finish. There is a hint of oak and sur-lie aging that gives the Hargardun additional complexity. This is an excellent Riesling with seafood and white meat, but I'd recommend aging it for another 3-5 years. Bottled in September 2016 (screwcap), tasted in November 2017.

94/100 Punkte Robert Parker, May 2016 The 2013 Friuli Isonzo Rive Alte Sauvignon Blanc Vieris Sauvignon is a spectacular wine that delivers explosive intensity to those who (like me) adore the Sauvignon Blanc grape, especially when interpreted in northeast Italy. The interesting fact here is that Vieris Sauvignon has the depth and richness to create a long-lasting and compelling mouthfeel. This wine is aged in oak. A creamy consistency is followed by peach, citrus, almond and dried herb. Gorgeous is the only word that comes to mind.

Based on 40% botrytis grapes, this is a light but juicy-intense, finessed and promising Spätlese whose terroir character is completely hidden for the moment and probably for the next 10-20 years. However, this is a refreshing, linear and piquant picture-book Spätlese for this highly reductive style. Fermented in a 600-liter Halbstück, the 2015 was bottled with 9% alcohol and almost 59 grams of residual sugar in April 2016 under screwcap. Tasted in November 2017.

Full-bodied, silky and fresh on the palate, this is a pure and elegant yet still somewhat restrained red wine full of tension, grip and expression. The wine lacks the finesse and purity and also the tension of the finest wines.
