94/100 Punkte Robert Parker, Feb 2019 The 2016 Thalheim Chalofe starts reductive on the bright, cherry-scented nose. Meaty and fruity on the silky-elegant textured palate and provided with fine but tightly woven tannins, this is a concentrated and tensioned Pinot with purity, transparency and freshness. Very long and tight on the finish, this is still a baby that will need a couple of years to open up. Tasted in Zurich, November 2018.
90/100 Punkte Robert Parker, Feb 2019 Vinified in used pièces, the 2017 Malanser Chardonnay is clear, bright and fresh on the rather lean, reductive and fruity nose that reveals crystalline mineral expressions. Firm, intense and piquant on the palate, this is an intense and powerful but elegant and racy Chardonnay from the Selvenen. It did not undergo malolactic fermentation and comes along pretty racy and piquant but not as quiet as the Gantenbein Chardonnay. Fresh. Tasted November 2018.
92/100 Punkte Robert Parker, Feb 2019 The 2016 Auvernier Chardonnay is pure, intense and mineral on the nose, where ripe fruit and very fine chalk and sur lie aromas are displayed. 92+/100 Punkte Robert Parker, Feb 2019 From three parcels on calcareous slate soils with a high loam content, the 2017 Malanser Chardonnay was partly fermented in stainless steel and in 300-liter oak barrels, in which the wine was kept for 12 months. The 2017 opens with deep and intense fruit with yeasty notes intertwined with crystalline stone scents and highly elegant fruit aromas. Full-bodied and concentrated, with very fine tannins and well-integrated acidity, this is a highly elegant and finessed Chardonnay with a long and aromatic, tightly structured finish. Impressive length with lingering salinity. Tasted in January 2019.
Bleibt recht lange.
