91/100 Punkte Robert Parker, Feb 2019 From a 0.28-hectare plot with 37-year-old vines (Swiss clones) and aged in barriques for 12 months, the 2016 Malanser Pinot Noir Fidler is coolish and slightly flinty on the deep, pure and elegant nose with its ripe and aromatic cherry aromas and just a hint of oak. Lush and round on the palate, with silky tannins and charmingly ripe fruit, this is an intense, well-concentrated and structured, beautifully balanced Swiss Blauburgunder in an international style with grip and density. Very elegant and fruity and almost ready to drink. The aftertaste is wonderfully pure, fresh and dry as well as spicy due to its concentration and then folic grip. Tasted February 2019.
91-92/100 Punkte Robert Parker Feb. 2019 The 2017 Malanser Pinot Noir Fidler is dark, deep and spicy on the ripe and concentrated (cherry) nose. The palate is tight and fresh, very well concentrated and fleshy, with a good grip and chocolate flavors. Quite powerful. Tasted as a sample in November 2018.
