    The 2017 Nit de Nin La Coma d#en Romeu is from an extremely dry and early harvest that delivered just five hectoliters per hectare! That means they only produced 1,330 bottles from the 1.5 hectares of Garnacha on those slate terraces at 350 meters in altitude. It was bottled in April 2019. It has a beautiful and subtle nose that's very spicy (cloves and cumin, curry and pink pepper) and floral, with a palate that feels light but has great depth and inner power, with pungent flavors and subtle minerality.

    The 2016 Nit de Nin Mas d#en Caçador was produced with grapes from 78- to 113-year-old vines in the Mas d'en Caçador vineyard in Porrera. It's a blend of Garnacha Negra, Garnacha Peluda and Cariñena with some 5% white grapes. It fermented with full clusters and indigenous yeasts in a 3,200-liter oak vat and matured in a similar 2,700-liter oak vat. It has great balance and is ripe and Mediterranean, without any excess; it's incredibly elegant and has character. In a way, it makes me think of a classical Châteauneuf, with fine tannins and subtle minerality. 4071 bottles and 60 magnums were filled in April 2019.

    The 2017 Nit de Nin Mas d#en Caçador is a vintage they talk about like this: "We will remember this vintage as one of the most extreme of the decade, along with that of 2012. It is in years like these that the work we do in the field is rewarded. In spite of the climatic exceptionality, we have acidity and pH that seem like a miracle to us. Our vines did not suffer the severe frosts of this 2017." The wine has lower alcohol than the 2016 but the same pH of 3.3; insultingly young and tender, it doesn't feel like the wine had a long élevage in oak. It has kept very good freshness and great balance. It's tasty, pungent and long, with power and elegance and all the components to develop nicely in bottle.

    The organic 2018 Nosso wears the subtitle "Verdejo Ecologico Natural" and had no added sulfites. It has some cereal-like aromas, with a lactic hint, not very varietal, but clean and not showing any deviations. The palate is balanced, with good freshness and a marked bitter finish#to me, that's the signature of Verdejo.

    The 2017 Planetes de Nin comes from the four hectares of 20-year-old Garnacha and 11-year-old Cariñena in the Planetes vineyard in Porrera at 450 meters in altitude. It's 60% Garnacha (some of it Peluda) and the rest Cariñena, harvested early. It fermented with indigenous yeasts and matured in 3,200-liter oak vats and one 1,000-liter amphora for 17 months. It has depth and harmony, and the vines are getting older and seem to be better and better balanced. This is not that different from the 2016; it feels quite stable and has its style and character, especially since the 2015 vintage.

    Their vineyard-selection cuvée 2007 Reserva Particular currently in the market is from a great vintage in the region, especially for Xarello#even if this is a blend of 64% Macabeo and 36% Xarello, I think this has to be one of the finest vintages, at least in recent times, along with 2001 and 2004. This comes from three separate vineyards and is always a little riper, more developed, and in this vintage, it combines power with freshness, like in the best vintages. The 2007 vintage was dry, and Recaredo's vineyards yielded 33.5 hectoliters per hectare, when the appellation of origin allowed up to 88 hectoliters per hectare that year. The wine has 12% alcohol and an extremely low pH (2.96), which means very healthy acidity. The Xarello fermented in oak barrels and the Macabeo in stainless steel. The wine was put in bottle for the aging with yeasts in April 2008 and was disgorged nine years and nine months later (117 months). The long aging has

    From the village of Rivas de Tereso/Labastida, the 2018 Blanco de Sierra de Toloño comes from different plots and is mostly Viura. It has a salty minerality and the freshness from this northern and cooler zone. Despite a very late harvest in mid-October, the wine is only 12.5%, and it's bottled without malolactic, kept in stainless steel with the lees, which are stirred until bottling. It's fruit-driven with notes of pear and waxy apples, a bit shy and with very good acidity and freshness. It should develop further complexity with a little more time in bottle. 9 ,000 bottles produced. It was bottle in March 2019.
