88+/100 Punkte Robert Parker, Dec 2016 The 2014 Arcotondo is a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc that has been aged for 18 months in barriques (new and up to three years old). Dark ruby in color, this is super ripe and aromatic flavored red with purity and elegance on the nose. Dark cherries and plums on the nose. Silky textured, fresh and juicy, this is a lovely aromatic and well-structured#though not very concentrated#Bordeaux blend. It has purity, finesse and elegance. Nice bitter flavors in the finish, firm yet fine and with ripe tannins. It is moderate in alcohol at 12.5%. This wine is delicious today but should still be excellent after eight or more years.
92/100 Punkte Robert Parker Dec 30, 2016 100% Chardonnay from Beride that was fermented in Burgundian pièces, the 2014 Pianelle opens with a ripe and elegant bouquet of pineapples, melons, pears and lemon aromas intermixed with mineral or stony flavors. Round, fresh and juicy, with a finely racy acidity on the very elegant and well-balanced palate, this 2014 develops a stunning finesse and aromatic intensity. It also has a promising grip and vitality. It is firmly structured, pretty complex and persistent in the finish. The Pianelle is rounder and has more fruit and charm than the Dosso, which is even more pure and complex.
92/100 Punkte Robert Parkder Dec 30, 2016 The 2014 Conte di Luna comes from the Ticino but with Cabernet Sauvignon added to the obligatory Merlot, and is thus classified as IGT instead of DOC. It is a purple-colored red with a pure, fresh and spicy/vegetal bouquet of black currant, cherries, paprika, earthy and ivy flavors on the nose. The fruit seems rather just ripe and does not give the generous and warm black fruit character of a more regular Ticino vintage. However, the precision, purity, freshness and authentic character is still fascinating here. It underwent 16 months of barrel ageing. The silky textured blend is very elegant and fresh on the palate, well concentrated and provided with firm and characterful, really severe tannins; it has a good and spicy finish of dark cherries and black berries. The alcohol of 13% is rather moderate and very gastronomic. This is a delicious, food-friendly blend that needs a lot of aeration and should be perfect to drink between 2018 and 2
88/100 Punkte Robert Parker Dec 30, 2016 The 2014 Dorando is a 100% Malcantone Chardonnay fermented in concrete eggs and wooden vats. The citrus-colored wine opens with a clear, fresh and pretty intense bouquet of ripe white fruit, melon, lime and kumquat flavors. Medium-bodied, round and fresh on the palate this is an elegant, well-structured and nicely salty food wine, with an excellent phenolic grip and tension. Ginger flavors in the good aftertaste. The 2014 is still young, but perfect with all kinds of fish and white meats.
