88+/100 Punkte Robert Parker, Dec 2016 The 2014 Arcotondo is a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc that has been aged for 18 months in barriques (new and up to three years old). Dark ruby in color, this is super ripe and aromatic flavored red with purity and elegance on the nose. Dark cherries and plums on the nose. Silky textured, fresh and juicy, this is a lovely aromatic and well-structured#though not very concentrated#Bordeaux blend. It has purity, finesse and elegance. Nice bitter flavors in the finish, firm yet fine and with ripe tannins. It is moderate in alcohol at 12.5%. This wine is delicious today but should still be excellent after eight or more years.
92/100 Punkte Robert Parker Dec 30, 2016 100% Chardonnay from Beride that was fermented in Burgundian pièces, the 2014 Pianelle opens with a ripe and elegant bouquet of pineapples, melons, pears and lemon aromas intermixed with mineral or stony flavors. Round, fresh and juicy, with a finely racy acidity on the very elegant and well-balanced palate, this 2014 develops a stunning finesse and aromatic intensity. It also has a promising grip and vitality. It is firmly structured, pretty complex and persistent in the finish. The Pianelle is rounder and has more fruit and charm than the Dosso, which is even more pure and complex.
92/100 Punkte Robert Parkder Dec 30, 2016 The 2014 Conte di Luna comes from the Ticino but with Cabernet Sauvignon added to the obligatory Merlot, and is thus classified as IGT instead of DOC. It is a purple-colored red with a pure, fresh and spicy/vegetal bouquet of black currant, cherries, paprika, earthy and ivy flavors on the nose. The fruit seems rather just ripe and does not give the generous and warm black fruit character of a more regular Ticino vintage. However, the precision, purity, freshness and authentic character is still fascinating here. It underwent 16 months of barrel ageing. The silky textured blend is very elegant and fresh on the palate, well concentrated and provided with firm and characterful, really severe tannins; it has a good and spicy finish of dark cherries and black berries. The alcohol of 13% is rather moderate and very gastronomic. This is a delicious, food-friendly blend that needs a lot of aeration and should be perfect to drink between 2018 and 2
93/100 Punkte Robert Parker<(>,<)> 29th Sep 2017 Tasted in Zurich during a dinner at the Restaurant LaSalle, August 2017. The dark and intense, ruby colored 2013 Crescendo opens with a deep, fresh, smoky bouquet of ripe, concentrated cherries and black fruits intertwined with floral, toast and minty aromas. Aged for one year in barriques (one-third new), this is a mouth-filling, fresh, vital, firm, powerful and well-concentrated Merlot with finesse and elegance. It is still young but balanced, complex and very long, with a silky elegance and a paling finish. This wine has developed enormously well.
91/100 Punkte Falstaff, Dezember 2017 Sehr kräftiges Rot; in der Nase Rhabarber, Cassis, Brombeere, Schwarzkirsche, Molkenote, Anflug von Röstaromen; im Gaumen samtig-weicher Auftakt, mittelgewichtig, saftig, Schwefelzündhölzli, noch leicht trocknendes Tannin; gute Länge. Schmeichelnder Merlot, mehrheitsfähig, kann noch zulegen.
91+/100 Punkte Robert Parker September 2017 From 28-year-old vines on porous soils in Vernate, which deliver small berries with high fruit concentration, the 2015 Crescendo is a dark, intense, purple-red Merlot with a super ripe, intense, aromatic cassis and licorice/violet bouquet with refreshing leafy, floral and spicy aromas but also burnt gummy notes at this stadium. On the palate, this is a very lush but also clear, fresh and finessed red with blueberry and black berry flavors, fine tannins and remarkable balance. This is perfectly ripe, elegant and still somewhat sweet Merlot that will be a great pleasure to drink in two or so years. Tasted in Zurich, August 2017.
88/100 Punkte Robert Parker Dec 30, 2016 The 2014 Dorando is a 100% Malcantone Chardonnay fermented in concrete eggs and wooden vats. The citrus-colored wine opens with a clear, fresh and pretty intense bouquet of ripe white fruit, melon, lime and kumquat flavors. Medium-bodied, round and fresh on the palate this is an elegant, well-structured and nicely salty food wine, with an excellent phenolic grip and tension. Ginger flavors in the good aftertaste. The 2014 is still young, but perfect with all kinds of fish and white meats.
90/100 Punkte Robert Parker, 29th Sep 2017 Christian Zündel's 2014 Terraferma is an alpine Merlot: coolish, fresh, lean, delicate and elegant, with a stunning persistency but no Mediterranean or maritime touch. The bright colored Terraferma is from a southwest-facing single vineyard on fertile moraine rubble soils at 500 meters altitude that, according to Zündel, gives fine, elegant and aromatic but not very chiseled or edgy wines. 2014 was a tricky, early blooming but late ripening vintage with a lot of rain and the suzukii fly, which led to a quick harvest. "The berries were hard, but the tannins were ripe," Zündel said. He calls 2014 a minor vintage that he likes a lot because of the ripe tannins. The grape material led him to a very long maceration of 100% whole clusters for up to eight weeks with just a very gentle extraction. "I like tannins, but they should lengthen the wine to a persistent finish like in a Nebbiolo. I don't like tannins that stick on my palate," Zündel sai
