90/100 Punkte Wine Spectator Oct 15, 2016 Glazed nectarine and blood orange granita flavors are bright and expressive in this well-balanced dessert wine. Lightly sweet and tangy, with spice and spun honey notes enriching the fruit-forward finish. Drink now through 2021.
92/100 Punkte Robert Parker Oct 2019 A blend of 65% Syrah, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Montepulciano, the 2016 A.D. 1212 (with a really cool hand design on the front label) is a versatile and accessible red that would pair with meat lasagna or meatloaf. The bouquet is infused with purple and black fruit nuances with a good measure of spice and toast. This wine is mostly executed in steel, with a part that is aged in barrique for 12 months.
92/100 Punkt James Suckling November 2018 Deep and vibrant dark-berry aromas with fresh flowers and hot stones, following through to a full body, chewy and dusty tannins and a long, flavorful finish with chocolate undertones to it all. Drink in 2020, but already beautiful.
